Manifold DalesThe Manifold Dales are in the southern Peak District, on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. Scenically this is one of the finest networks, featuring a limestone plateau 1,000 feet high, with stunning gorge-like dales. Up on the hills, there's a patchwork of dry-stone walls with grassy tracks between them. This area is easily accessible from most parts of the country.

We offer between 2 and 4 days place-to-place riding or one-centre holidays with a selection of fabulous day rides. The terrain is interesting and varied and includes disused railways, some steep hills and beautiful valleys. For mountain bikers the routes are easy in parts with some challenging hills.

There is a great deal to see in the Manifold Dales including Buxton which lies just outside the Peak District National Park boundaries. It was founded by the Romans, who built baths to utilise the warm spa water. In the 18-19th centuries Buxton was famous as a spa.

Manifold DalesA 19 mile petal ride with the first part following the BHS promoted Sabrina Way riding route along packhorse routes and quiet lanes to Alstonedale. The Sabrina Way signs are sporadic in places and can’t be relied upon so make sure you are following the route we’ve researched!

You then ride on along gorge-like Narrowdale and cross the River Dove near Wolfscote Hall before stopping for lunch at a pub once famed for its Yorkshire puddings.
