If you are looking for relaxed and peaceful riding through the unspoilt landscape of the Monchique Mountain Natural Park, then look no further than Vale Ferro. This ride will take you through different routes and paths daily with magnificent views down to the sea, passing by a variety of fabulous smelling trees, from eucalyptus to orange, fig, cork and almond.
The region's glorious weather allows horseback riding all year round and whatever the season, our rides are fun and full of adventure. In the spring the landscape is covered with all sorts of beautifully coloured wild flowers, especially in February and March when the almond trees are in full bloom. In the summer you ride in the early morning or late in the afternoon in order to enjoy the cool shade provided by the pine and eucalyptus forests. Autumn brings perfect weather with mild temperatures, serene days and beautiful sunsets and in winter the region is the mildest in Europe, still with beautiful sunny days.
After riding, relax in the sun by the swimming pool or sit in the shade offered by the patio at Quinta do Vale de Ferro.
Itineraries are tailor-made upon arrival to ensure your riding holiday is exactly what you want it to be. Care is taken to match you with a perfect horse suitable for your size and ability.
